A journey to sustainable + holistic everyday care

As a nurse, I’ve always valued the importance of having access to high-quality medical care. Whether it’s in a professional healthcare setting or at home, having the right supplies on hand can make all the difference. However, over the years, I began to notice something—many of the everyday first aid products we rely on come with a heavy environmental cost. Single-use plastics, excessive packaging, + disposable items that end up in landfills all contribute to a growing problem.

At the same time, I’ve always been drawn to natural medicine + holistic wellness. I believe there’s a beautiful balance to be found between conventional medical supplies + natural remedies. Whether it’s a well-balanced diet, homeopathy, or the soothing effects of essential oils, nature offers incredible ways to support our bodies.

I searched for a kit that truly reflected my values—a sustainable solution that seamlessly combined first aid essentials + natural remedies. I wanted to embrace both worlds in caring for my family, to have the ability to apply lavender oil or arnica cream alongside the essential gauze + bandages needed for everyday first aid. Yet, finding this balance while also prioritizing sustainability felt like a challenge. I wanted a kit that not only supported well-being but also reduced waste + environmental impact, ensuring that caring for ourselves didn't come at the cost of harming the planet.

That’s when Ouch + Soothe was born.

Creating a Solution

I wanted to create a product that busy families could rely on for everyday bumps, scrapes, + minor ailments, without compromising on sustainability. I envisioned a kit that wasn’t just practical but also aligned with eco-conscious values, offering both high-quality first aid supplies and those helpful, supportive natural remedies.

The first Ouch + Soothe kit is a travel-friendly first aid kit. Called - drum role - Ouch + Soothe Kit. It's carefully curated with high-quality first aid supplies from trusted UK brands, paired with natural remedies for holistic care. Our kits are designed with the goal of reducing waste, using biodegradable, recyclable, or reusable materials wherever possible.
